I've read, and been told, of the help given in the early 1960s by RAF men from Aden. I was told they were from 35 Squadron, but website research suggests that it was 37 Squadron who were likely to have been the benefactors. Of course they were supporting an institution created by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC. I wonder, if it was your squadron, do you have details, and especially any pictures, of the RAF volunteers (who brought and fitted a generator at the home near Addis Ababa amongst all sorts of other useful things)? I would welcome any information you have, including the names of those who took part. If it wasn't 37 Squadron perhaps you could offer me an educated guess as to which squadron it might have been? I'm starting to put the book together so an early response would help me greatly. All best wishes Robert Waterhouse +336 72 71 59 48
